Canterbury House Appeal for Welsh Mountain Zoo

Tuesday, 9 June 2020

Canterbury House Care Home are collecting donations to support the local zoo.

Welsh Mountain Zoo are using its remaining resources to support and feed the animals, but now they need our help. This is an urgent appeal to ask those who are interested to donate to our JustGiving page.

The top priority for the staff at Canterbury House has been to protect the residents from Coronavirus. However, we wanted to go the extra mile and do something more for a cause that is close to our hearts.

We have decided that a great way to support the Welsh Mountain Zoo is to raise money and to adopt animals at Welsh Mountain Zoo on behalf of our residents. Through the adoption programme the resident will also benefit having the adoption packs to look through, enjoy and be proud of the amazing cause they are supporting.

A small or large donation will go a long way to help the zoo.

Here is what Gary Roberts, Home Manager has to say:

“Our residents have enjoyed visits from the outreach program. The staff at Canterbury House have worked extremely hard during these difficult times to keep our residents and each other safe. I am extremely proud of the staff choosing to support other struggling organisations. “

All donations can be made at:

Thank you for your kindness and support.
