John's best mate Rosie

John Cook had always dreamed of owning a small dog, but once he moved into Wordsworth House Care Home recently he became resigned to the fact that there was no longer any chance of his dream coming true.  Little did he know!

One day, after he had been living for several weeks at Wordsworth House, he was chatting to me, and happened to mention about wanting a dog, adding that he appreciated that that wouldn’t be possible now he was living at Wordsworth.

Shortly after, I got in touch with the local Dog Rescue Centre to arrange for them to come in and to speak to John about what kind of dog he would like.

When they came, they brought two dogs with them.  John was over the moon and couldn’t believe that we’d arranged this for him and that he actually was allowed to have a dog in the house.

So Rosie is now the newest member of the Wordsworth family, and everyone loves her, but not as much as John does!

Needless to say, John’s family are absolutely delighted that his dream has finally come true.
