Good News Story - Edgeley House

Monday, 14 December 2020

98 yr old Monica Ellis of Edgeley House Care Home today received a package from Buckingham Palace. She was delighted to find it had been sent from the Not Forgotten Association with a personal card from the patron Princess Anne.
The Not Forgotten Association was founded in 1920 to ensure all living ex-servicemen were remembered and supported and with this being the centenary year, the ‘Not Forgotten’ boxes are being sent out.
Mrs Ellis served in the RAF during WWII and was based in Stafford working in the communications dept. She loved opening the box and exploring the contents. It contained a beautiful mug, commemorative coin, bottle of port, chocolate, DVD, book, tea towel and coaster.
Visiting is currently not allowed in the care home, but Kizzy Ankers the manager contacted Mrs Ellis’ son by video call so she could share the presentation with her family 💖
