On 15th November, the Beavers section of the 10th Sheffield (Parson Cross) Scouts, Cubs and Beavers visited Silver Lodge to make Christmas food hampers and baskets with the residents.
This was part of the ‘A Million Hands’ project, with half a million young people committed to removing social barriers, connecting communities and improving lives. One of the key aims of the project is to help make young people in the local area better citizens.
On December 6th the Beavers came back to Silver Lodge, this time to sing Christmas carols for the residents. After the carols, which the residents loved, the Beavers decorated two Christmas trees in the home.
