Moorfield House Care Home is situated in a pleasant, leafy suburb to the south of Newcastle, on the edge of Town Moor. It is a small Home with a warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
Many of our team have worked at Moorfield for a long time, and our staff turnover is very small. This helps us to maintain a consistently high level of service for our residents, and to foster long term and meaningful relationships with their families and friends.
We believe that our residents should remain as physically and mentally active as possible, so we encourage them to participate in a variety of activities.
Our staff are all highly committed to providing the residents with a safe and emotionally secure environment. An important part of this is just having a good old natter – sharing happy memories, offering a shoulder to cry on, or simply having a good laugh! We gradually build up relationships with residents, and in no time they begin to feel that Moorfield is more than just a Care Home, it’s their home.

Care Home Manager
My name is Donna, I am a mum to 3 grown up boys, I have worked in care for 32 years, starting out a care assistant when I was 18 years old. Working in care runs in my family, with my mum and sisters all working in the sector.
I have worked my way up in the care industry reaching management level 16 years ago. I have worked in care homes and in domiciliary care. During this time, I have completed my leadership in management course.
