This summer our staff team at Ayresome Court in Yarm had the pleasure of being joined by a student volunteer who wanted to spend some of her summer holidays exploring whether a career in healthcare was something that she definitely wanted to do.
Sadie, is a 14 year local student who has loved every minute of her time spent at Ayresome Court, so much so that we are delighted to learn that the time spent with us has fuelled Sadie's desire to become a nurse, we have received the following feedback from Sadie's school today:
"I just wanted to drop a short note to say thank you very much indeed for all your help and support with Sadie over the summer. She really made my day today when she came to find me, so proud of her name badge for the home. She said that she had an excellent time and really learned a lot. I think it has helped focus her mind that she wants pursue a career in nursing.
I hope she left a good impression, I never had chance to speak with her over the summer so I am delighted that she enjoyed the experience. Please pass on my thanks to the members of staff who have also given some of their time to support Sadie, I really do appreciate it"
We are always happy to help wherever we can with student volunteers and our residents love to spend time with young minds!
